Reliability Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Engineering required. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with Metallurgy/Materials emphasis could be considered. Minimum of 2 years metallurgy experience in the refining industry required. Familiarity with typical refining processes and fixed equipment and the proper selection of materials for reliable operation. Familiarity with refining equipment codes and standards such as the ASME B&PV & B31.3, API 510, 570, 571, 579, and 653. Familiarity with typical refining damage mechanisms and means for their prevention. Familiarity with the application of inspection nondestructive examination techniques such as acoustic emissions testing, ultrasonic thickness and shear wave inspection, radiographic testing, penetrant testing, wet fluorescent magnetic particle testing, eddy current testing, magnetic flux exclusion testing and visual inspection of tanks, pressure vessels, and piping. Identifies opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability. Participates in refinery initiatives to increase equipment reliability. Performs field evaluations and works closely with the refinery inspection and reliability groups and the corporate metallurgy employees to meet refinery reliability objectives. Implements best practices for common problem areas, maintenance of refinery materials and corrosion control documents, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and current materials related activities in refining industry organizations (NACE, API, etc.). Specific areas of operations support include metallurgy, process corrosion monitoring, process corrosion control and mitigation, opportunity crude evaluation, and project maintenance materials selection, etc. Provides support for capital projects in areas of materials selection and equipment corrosion control methodologies.
Civil/Structural Engineer
BS degree in engineering. 10 plus years refinery experience. Economic evaluation skills. Effective team leadership skills. Ability to coordinate/lead multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with facility equipment design. Experience managing EPC contractors is preferred. Manage and oversee large-scale engineering projects. Define project business objectives, scope, schedule and cost estimate. Implement and track project controls to manage cost and schedule. Manage the engineering and design of large pipeline and facility projects. Manage a team of resources supporting the project. Provide technical and engineering assistance to other departments. Administer technical programs to ensure compliance with company and governmental requirements.
